Mobile operation in data intensive environments -seminar
FAST-Lab (lead by Professor Jose L. Martinez Lastra) organizes a ”Mobile operation in data intensive environments” -seminar on Wednesday 30.10.2013 at Tampere University of Technology.
The seminar is targeted for Finnish Industry in order to demonstrate with the Finnish partners of Astute project (FluidHouse and THT Control Oy) an on-going research in innovative approaches and technologies to Human Machine Interaction (HMI) and information management.
Please note the event is in English and free of charge.
The envisioned smart environments are capable to increase the quality aspects of human live. Yet, the huge informational flow from networks of the automated systems overloads the users and makes it difficult to follow and then to apply all this information to one's own needs. In these frames innovative approaches to human-machine interaction become specifically important, since they may make the smart environments more comfortable, efficient and safe for every day working and leisure activities by the efficient and selective automated informational support.
In the seminar a concept of Virtual Control Room (VCR) will be presented. The research is supported by Tekes and focused on a system allowing mobile control and monitoring of smart technological environment while providing to a user the information he needs right now to make a correct decision full control in your pocket. The current application includes smart factories and smart senior house (automated building with social and health services) but it assumed that the approach may be further extend to other domains and thus enhance the everyday living.
