Germany is the engine of Europe's economy and a very attractive destination for many young growth companies. At the same time Finland is a booming startup hotspot ranking high in innovation and featuring SLUSH, Europe's major startup event, every November.
Enough reasons for the German-Finnish Chamber of Commerce to push for more interaction of the startup scenes in Germany and Finland as well as more collaboration between traditional enterprises and young growth companies.
Therefore the German-Finnish Chamber of Commerce has launched the STARTBAHN service that offers Finnish startups a light and fast-track service to Germany. It is designed to be complementary to its' established service portfolio and tailored to the needs of young companies.
The STARTBAHN service connects startup companies to the Chamber and its' members. With the help of the first coaching as well as networking with German-Finnish players, young companies can gain a lot of valuable information and advice. Moreover the participating companies will have a physical work place in the AHK Business Center located in the centre of Helsinki, providing infrastructure and good accessibility. On top Finnish startups get access to the Chamber's partner hubs in major German cities where they have a place to work in for one week in a quarter, receive guidance and last but not least, access to the local startup community.
