New Nordic solutions for health and wellbeing under way

As part of the ambitious goal of making the Nordic region leading within health welfare solutions, Nordic Innovation and funding partners - Tekes, Vinnova, Innovation Norway and Rannis - launched last year 25 million NOK call for proposals on innovative Nordic health and welfare solutions.

Seven projects have started in the beginning of this year and are expected to finish no later than the end of 2017. Social and Healthcare Services Programme of Tekes has funded Finnish partners in two of these projects: "Patient-Professional Communication Plug-in" and "Ecosystem for Nordic clinical practice guideline development, dissemination and maintenance".

The aim of the call was to unite and strengthen efforts across the Nordics in order to develop a Nordic ecosystem for health innovation. The call is part of a lighthouse project Innovative Nordic Health and Welfare Solutions initiated by the five Nordic ministries of trade and industry.
