Tekes' Tempo funding accelerates under two years old companies developing genuinely new concepts. The companies have credibility to establish rapidly-growing international business. Tempo provides funding for short and cost-effective projects that give the company a possibility to assess and validate the market need.

Tempo was originally launched in 2011 as a project for market-oriented mobile services. From the spring of 2013 onwards Tempo will be open to companies from all business sectors in which there is a need for market-based and agile development work. Pilot work for the new Tempo will continue until July 2013.
